Imagine walking around with two 20 pound bowling balls strapped to your chest.

Who says porn stars lack ambition? Maxi Mounds has made a huge name for herself – by having the largest breast implants in the world.

Her 36MMM bust – each weighing 9kg (20lbs) – finally made it into the record books years after she learned there was a category for natural breasts.

‘I contacted Guinness World Records and asked if they had a category for implants, but they said no, so I let it go,’ she said.

‘Then they asked me if I was interested as they were creating a category. Eventually they told me I won.’

That has to be painful. How does she put her shoes on?

The arrival of stimulus checks and retail sales aren’t the only thing rising fast these days…

Soaring energy costs pushed inflation up in May at the fastest pace in six months. Food costs kept rising, too, and all signs are pointing to more bad news on gasoline, oil and food in the months ahead.

Costs for clothing and prescription drugs did drop last month, but consumer prices rose by 0.6 percent in all, the biggest one-month increase since November, the Labor Department reported Friday.

Food prices, which had taken the biggest one-month leap in 18 years in April, rose by a more moderate 0.3 percent in May, but that still left food costs rising at a 6.3 percent rate so far year, well above last year’s increase. People are paying 10.2 percent more for milk than a year ago.

They better get a handle on things, and quick. Our out of pocket expenses, due to gasoline and food alone, have risen a lot more than the 0.6 percent they keep talking about.

It appears the stimulus checks are doing exactly what the President thought they would.

The stimulus checks are working. A big increase in retail sales signaled that people are spending their rebate payments, helping to ward off a serious economic slump, at least for now.

The Commerce Department reported Thursday that retail sales soared 1 percent last month, double what had been expected. It was the largest increase since November and represented strong sales at a variety of retailers including the biggest increase at department stores and other general merchandise stores in a year.

The question is, will it be enough to jump start the economy and keep it running until we can get more gas into it?

They shot the bear? Don’t they know that the Polar Bear is almost extinct (or not) due to global warming (or not)?

Icelandic authorities said they were forced to shoot a polar bear found wandering on the island in order to protect the public after a plan to anaesthetize the animal was abandoned.

The bear, an adult male weighing around 250 kg (500 lbs), was presumed to have swum to shore from drifting ice. The last time a polar bear came ashore in Iceland was in 1988.

Where is PETA? Why haven’t they launched an attack on Reykjavik? Get with the program people, an innocent polar bear lost it’s life!!!

A ribbon cutting for a toilet?

Mount Rainier National Park is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday to activate a new bio toilet at Cougar Rock Campground.

The $70,000 toilet was donated by Groundwork Mishima, a group that promotes volunteerism at Mount Fuji, which has a “sister mountain” relationship with the park. The toilet was installed with the help of students from the Japanese Volunteers-in-Parks Association.

The toilet uses cedar chips and natural composting to operate with little water or odor.

Heavy snow has delayed the opening of the campground itself until June 13.

Watch out, no matter how much it cost, I bet your ass will stick to the seat if you’re not careful.

Honestly? I am surprised it took T-Mobile this long to file the lawsuit.

T-Mobile USA is suing Starbucks, saying the coffee shop chain secretly colluded with AT&T to offer free WiFi Internet access in its cafes despite an exclusive agreement with T-Mobile.

In the lawsuit, filed late on Thursday in New York state court, T-Mobile alleges that AT&T and Starbucks Corp are not living up to an agreement the three companies reached over how Starbucks should transfer from its T-Mobile partnership to a new partnership with AT&T announced earlier this year.

T-Mobile is seeking unspecified damages against Starbucks for breach of its contract and unfair competition.

You know you have a fat ass when

Utrecht police say a 21-year-old Dutch man is recovering after a “mooning” that went horribly wrong.

A police statement says the man and two others had run down a street in Utrecht with their pants pulled down in the back “for a joke.”

It says that at one point the 21-year-old “pushed his behind against the window of a restaurant” that broke and resulted in “deep wounds to his derriere.”

I wish they would have told us how many stitches he needed.

Bigger failures? Still ahead? I thought one of those important economic guys, Greenspan or Bernanke, told us we were through the worst part of it?

Future U.S. bank failures linked to the downturn in the real estate market may include “institutions of greater size” than in the recent past, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp Chairman Sheila Bair said on Thursday.

In testimony prepared for a Senate Banking Committee hearing on the state of the banking industry, Bair said an increasing number of problem banks face high exposure to commercial real estate and construction lending.

“There is also the possibility that future failures could include institutions of greater size than we have seen in the recent past,” Bair said.

Have you noticed how economiists have become as reliable as meteorologists lately?

Oh great. Does this mean they will have yet another battle in NASCAR about the Alltel logo becoming the Verizon logo? We’ve barely begun to recover from the last fiasco (Cingular changing to AT&T).

Vodafone Group PLC confirmed Thursday that Verizon Wireless is in advanced talks about acquiring U.S. carrier Alltel Communications LLC.

News reports have suggested the possible deal would value Alltel, the fifth-largest U.S. wireless carrier by subscribers, at $27 billion.

Vodafone holds a 45 percent stake in Verizon Wireless, which is controlled by Verizon Communications.

I can just hear the fights that this will spark. Oy.
